Today I discovered an interesting site that gave me some new
possible Digital Camera Ideas, you can find this particular

A Great Digital Camera-idea, Try Before you Buy!

(additional) memory card (and batteries) for it in a Photo Store,

With the Digital Camera's it's an other Story many of the camera's I have on this blog aren't ones that I actually have myself or know much about,
I just put them up here because they are Popular and Bestselling Camera's like for example a Canon PowerShot SX20IS 12.1MP Digital Camera with 20x Wide Angle Optical Image Stabilized Zoom and 2.5-inch Articulating LCD

is a Photographers Dream Comming True!!!!

So since I recently had one in my hands for a few moments I have a tiny little ipad review for you - not a comprehensive review about ipad apps or something like that - because I recently only had a short look at the Apple iPad Tablet (32GB, Wi-Fi) Only had two encounters and already I am excited to share with you that I am exited about the ipad price it isn't that bad when you consider all the things you can do with it....!!!!

The thing is what's so totally asum - especially for when working with browsing Photo's - is that with it's Touch Screen it is really easy to work with and funny how when you hold it in 'Landscape' or 'Portrait' it flips over automatically! so what do you think about an Apple iPad Tablet (32GB, Wi-Fi)

Some years ago I frequently went to a News Stand and looked
through all the Photo Magazines and discoverd the Magazine Practical Photography I frequently bought
that Magazine because I could find besides interesting info
about Photography and about Photo Equipment also info about
Photo Competitions!
While I am writing this I realise that I haven't bought them
for a while and might buy one again one of these day's.

Anyway,

Yesterday I looked at a (2 part) Video about Getting Traffic

You could for example make it easier to Sell your Photo's when you make Photo's
from local objects or places that people can easily recognise.

Last week during a long walk - with our photography 'Group', both 'armed' with our photo cameras - made a lot of New Digital Photo's.

Photo's For Building
The Foto Stock CATALOGUE

At that moment we where not photographing with a very specific goal in mind
other than taking new photo's to possibly add to the Photo Stock Catalogue
that I am currently building.)

Some of the photo's are macro photography made from really close by, in general just making photo's from things that I noticed, got a little frustrated because every time I wanted to photograph a certain flower the wind begun to blew :)

Also since the weather was unexpectedly Hot and Sunny, I took off my sweater and jacket, so it was somewhat unconvenient having to carry them allong while photographing. (Both also having our own camera's with us to carry) So every once in a while my sweater fell on the ground while photographing. So at
that moment a Personal Assistant that could carry
my stuff would have been handy.

SUNNY WEATHER GOOD LIGHT!

The Sunny side of it was that it was Sunny weather and the
Light was great for taking digital photographs, and it was warm enough
to take a break to relax having a drink on a terras with
a beautiful view on a lake with a big water fountain
sparkling in the sun.

Making a Happy Memories 'Treasure Box'.

Once in a while when there is a birthday (or any other special occasion) I like to mess arround with photo's making a collage out of some carefully selected pictures, usually combined with for example some funny magazine photo's or text fragments and things like that.

SPECIAL PHOTO COLLAGES

When delivered in a nice picture frame it makes a fun personalised birthday gift.
Today I read a (video) post about Happy Memories at the

Digital Photography Lighting, making it look Professional

Digital photography can be maximized to its full potential once you have the perfect camera, the proper color and the perfect lighting. Even if you have with you the latest model of digital camera, your photos will not alway's turn out great if you are not making use of the right strategies in getting them right.

Experts in digital photography have come to realize that the digital camera is only one of the things you need to have great pictures. There are also other factors to consider so that you will not be disappointed by the result. One of them is the digital photography lighting.

Have you ever seen digital photos that seem to blur and indistinguishable? There are a lot of cases like this. Even if you try and edit them using Photoshop or any other software, you cannot seem to get the desired lighting you want.

This is because you have not considered having the proper lighting when the photo was taken. You were thinking that the camera and its features will be able to do that for you. Yes it can. But they may not reach your expectations.

LOOKING AT THE LIGHT

The secret to getting that perfect picture is to do it right the first time. By doing it right, it simply means that you need to think about how well or bad the lighting is in the process of taking the photo.

Below are some of the natural sources of digital photography lighting that will make your photos look terrific.

1. After sunrise and before sunset.

It is during these times that photography is at its peak. Meaning, photos turn out great when they are shoot after sunrise and before sunset. Why is this so?

This is because the orange color that appears in the sky during these times adds to the colors that your digital camera is capable. Most of the time, some photos appear dull and unrealistic when they are printed because of the representation of the colors when it is printed.

The color of the environment can add a sort of brightness to your photos. In addition, it will make it easy for you to edit them on your computer once you feel that you want to put in some combination in the natural setting of the picture.

2. Sunlight.

Sunlight is one form of lighting that is very effective once you know how to modify your shots. Keep in mind that you are not capable of altering the brightness of the sun or the shadows that it can create on your photos.

YOU DON'T WANT YOUR MODEL
TO LOOK LIKE A MONSTER

'A special Tip: When you make photo's with the faces of
people on them you might like to soften the dropshadow's a little
and make your photo's look really professional that way!!!
You can do this by using a a 'Reflector' (for example a big sheet
of white paper) to reflect some of the sunlight from a different
angle, it will help you to soften really hard dropshadows'

It is up for you to choose the best position wherein you can make the most of the light that is emitted by the sun. Work them to your advantage. Try on different angles and see if they look perfect once frozen.

You can also make the most of the drop shadows that is created by the sunlight. Just make sure that they will not blur your photo. Fro minor adjustments, you can just edit the photos straight from your computer.

Shooting digital photos is not only about having the most advanced digital camera. It is also about looking for strategies and techniques that will benefit your shots. Try to shoot your photos with the perfect lighting and you will see that you do not need to edit or add some more colors in them.

Moca, Puerto Rico had an Earthquake 5.7 on the Richter Schale, Sometimes even a Tripod doesn't help!

May 16th 3 miles east of Moca Puerto Rico had an Earth Quake, my last post was about photographing Lava Streams. But what to do when the earth is moving, luckely it usually isn't something you have to take into account when taking photographs. In movie making I do know that they can make use of a 'SteadyCam' to keep a camera fixed at one point. (even while moving arround.)

'Personally I prefer to avoid
collapsing earth masses or earth quakes'.

So if you want to take photo's without moving your camera,
you definitely want to use a tripod.

Only you better avoid Earth Quake areas.

Just One Little Tip for Outdoor Photography with your Digital Camera.

Although it might not be your typical 'Outdoor Photography', that I am talking about. As far as I know most Airports
are 'Outside' (or atleast outside the door) I am just calling it 'Outdoors' for the sake of creating
a catchy Blogpost Title....,

Anyway,

Some years ago I was - 'Outdoors' - taking photo's very
close to the runway where the Planes where landing.
I picked a great spot where the Jumbo Jets came flying over
pretty close by. While taking pictures, I was so caught up in it,
that I almost forgot my surroundings, I saw the Big Jumbo Jet
comming closer and closer, and while making photo's I came
to realise that the engines of a Jumbo Jet can be pretty loud!

'Than I noticed that this particular Jumbo Jet
was really flying very low and was more than close!'

So I begun to wonder:

'Was it just my imagination or was I really
beginning to feel the heat from the Jumbo Jet Engines....?'

'And that sound of those engines,
wasn't it extremely loud?'

Than I looked over my camera,
and WOW...,

YES, it was very very very close!!!
Than I put my vingers in my ears and
jumped to the ground, an in the process made
a - unfortunately - not so impressive photo of only
an empty sky with only a tiny tip of a Jumbo Jet Wing :)

'So just one little Tip,
to watch your surroundings
while taking photo's' :)

'Oh...., yeah..., and it goes without saying
that subscribing to an Outdoor Photography Magazine
can be an interesting idea also!!!' :)

The first thing to think about when starting a photography business
is how to do it in a legitimate way.

There are no insider secrets to this business other than what you need to know to run any business. To succeed you have to…

 Get your education.
 Learn from the pros.
 Know your stuff.

 Value your customers.

You can accomplish the first five of these objectives by going to school and working part or full time in somebody else’s photography shop. You may despair at the idea of more school. But your photography business will be about more than just cameras, photo shoots and dark rooms. You have accounting principles to comprehend and execute, taxes to be paid, a facility to rent, employees to pay, insurance to worry about, contracts to sign and all of that other “stuff” that goes with running a business. So start early and get some basic business classes under your belt such as accounting and economics. It will benefit you dozens of ways
as you march toward success.

Many trades have an apprentice system where you tutor under a master of the craft. But it might be a good thing for you to take this matter into your own hands. Plan to work for a photography shop long enough to learn the ins and outs of running a small business and of running a photography business. This gives you the chance to build your knowledge and exposure to equipment, learn technique
and how to work with your subjects.

In fact, it might be a good idea to deliberately apprentice at a number of different types of photography studios before launching out on your own. So you can learn the ins and outs of wedding photography, baby photography, fashion photography and others from specialists all before you spend a dime of your own money to start your own enterprise. A Digital Camera Idea without carrying a heavy burden!

Tripods are “unnecessarily bulky” for some so seldom do people like to bring them around. Nowadays, there is an ingenious way to settle the dilemma whether to bring a tripod around or to do without it.

'Although my 'Big Tripod' isn't even
that heavy, it still isn't always convenient
to bring it with me all the time'.

An online Portfolio is a great way to be able to easily give people the opportunity to learn more about your Photographing capabilities. You can easilly put your website link on a business card and people can directly find out all about it.

When using a weblog you can even show your most recent work,
and for example you could also make some extra money by advertising workshops to your loyal readers if you enjoy giving them.
Or how about writing your own - based on your own experience -
digital camera reviews!!!

So if you like a Canon Digital Camera (like for example the Canon PowerShot) or you swear by an Olympus digital camera or rather like to work with Kodak digital cameras or you only want to specialise writing about your experiences with a specific underwater digital camera
