Those Challenging Assignments are Inspirational,
the Two Challenging Assignments, this time where
1) Food Action Shoot
2) Architecture with Sports Athlete
ad 1) to be honest, I thought that Food Photography normally would be rather 'Static', possibly creating a little shine with water or something like that, you don't particularly would see it as something you can really make dynamic other than perhaps having flames, under your food.
However you can create some 'Smoke and Mirrors', you can use things like 'Dust & Smoke' or Dripping, Sprinkeling things etc.
With our Own Food Photo you see in one of our recent Tweets,
we might not have created actual MOTION with our Photo,
on the other hand with the visible Thyme & Rosemary, you can almost smell it

ad 2) it was indeed a challenge for many of the contestants to interpret the Assignment right, to make the Architecture stand out and not the Sports Athlete.
The Athlete was only intended - to reinforce - the Architecture, and not to
be the subject of the Photo. Not an easy task !
As you know we also occasionally like participating in such Photography Challenges Ourselves
through
Photo Competitions,
Sometimes we even win a First Prize Photo !
